Though it is hard to find a truly bad meal in Rome, more and more restauranteurs who cater to tourists are embracing the evils of frozen pizza and pasta warmed up and then drowned in supermarket sauce. Here at When in Rome Tours we are of the opinion that truer words have never been spoken... "When In Rome, EAT as the Romans do!". Imagine visiting Rome for the first time armed with insider tips about exactly where to find the best food and prime ingredients. If your idea of navigating a new culture is through food and drink, this tour is ideal! With a strong emphasis on Rome's revered street food style, we'll criss cross the ancient city in search of fine food. You'll get up close and personal with a selection of some of the following eats: tavola calda, sweets, snacks and chocolate, fried treats from the Jewish Quarter, pizza by weight, grattachecca, pastries and gelato. "Eat as the Romans do" delivers sample tastings in the Jewish Ghetto, and frequent stops to savour typical delicacies and traditional Roman fare served up by local traders, epicurean boutiques, and speciality stores in Rome's oldest markets. This is our most satisfying gastronomic tour, considered by many to be the flagship food tour in Rome!
Two or three short taxi rides may be necessary, which are not included in tour cost above.
"Eat as the Romans do" may not be available in August as some of our suppliers are away on vacation. The above itinerary is an example of what we cover on our regularly scheduled street food tours. The tour itineraries are subject to change without notice due to shop closings, seasonal availability, or sometimes because we happen to stumble across new and interesting things to try.

Dress Code
There is no specific dress code for this tour.
- Tour runs on Mon, Wed, Fri.
- Tour does not run on public holidays.
- Minimum two (2) persons.
Following 25% deposit payment or payment in full, you will be e-mailed a confirmation voucher with comprehensive booking details therein. Payment made and balance due (if any) will be clarified, and clearly explained tour meeting point info plus maps included for you to find your way in Rome. Please print your voucher and bring it with you at the start of the tour.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be received in writing. For cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, cancellations should be sent in writing as well as by phone.
Bookings that are cancelled 7 or more days before the scheduled tour departure will be entitled to a full refund, less a 10 Euro cancellation fee per transaction.
No refunds will be given for late cancellations, failure to cancel (no show), or failure to arrive at our tour meeting point by the scheduled departure time.
This voucher is non refundable and non transferable. When in Rome Tours di Russo Danielle (further to be referred to as When In Rome Tours) may not be held responsible
for alterations to tours made necessary by unforeseen or unannounced closure of all or part of the of the monuments included.
