Taste wine in Rome
Head to a gourmet wine alcove in the heart of historic Rome (but somewhat off the beaten path) and enjoy local delicacies and fine regional wines during a 90-minute Rome wine tasting evening which comprises six different wines and a handpicked selection of Roman salami, cured meats, cheeses, olives and bread as you prefer.
Meet your friendly host Patricia and her son Giampaolo, then take your seat at a table inside their enoteca (wine bar), a rising star on the Rome wine scene located roughly five minutes away from Campo de’ Fiori. Meet the charismatic owner/sommelier and hear about local wine production and the cuisine that is revered throughout the Lazio region.
Familiarize yourself with six different wines and discover how their flavours can be complemented by specific types of food. Italians rarely drink without eating, so follow the lead of your host and savour cured meats, porchetta (pork roasted with rosemary), taralli (crunchy snack food from Southern Italy), olives, and Parmigiano cheese with chunks of artisan bread. Upgrade platters always available as is wine purchasing by the bottle after the tasting.
