Disembark from your ship and make your way to Rome by train (details provided with voucher information). As your first guided tour begins at 10:45am, you’ll most likely have time to check out the Trevi Fountain or the Pantheon before you make your way over to Trajan’s Column in Piazza Venezia for an unforgettable 90 minute tour of Ancient Rome. Unravel mysteries and mythology inside the Roman Forum and then experience incredible VR views of the mighty Colosseum before entering the arena itself through awe-inspiring Gladiator's Gate to the original Arena Floor... where gladiators fought and died! This is where your morning tour of ancient Rome and the Colosseum inside begins!
Once outside the Colosseum you will make your way across town by taxi or public transport to our Vatican offices at 2pm for tickets and entrance to the Vatican Museums. We'll usher you inside with fast track entry and then you will be free to explore the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel at your own pace before returning to Civitavecchia by train in good time ahead of your ship’s departure. Clear and easy directions to the railway station in central Rome and train departure times back to the port railway station provided.
